SABRES RE-SIGN CLAGUE TO ONE-YEAR DEAL

The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Kale Clauge to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000, the team announced Wednesday. 

Clague, 25, returns to the organization after appearing in 33 games for the Sabres last season. He recorded four assists. He also played in 14 games for the Rochester Americans of the AHL, totaling six points (1+5).

In 91 career NHL games, he has posted two goals and 18 assists. Originally selected by the Kings in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft, Clague played in 33 games for Los Angeles between 2019 and 2021. He also dressed in 25 games for the Montreal Canadiens during the 2021-22 season.

He signed with Buffalo as a free agent last offseason.
