SABRES PLACE SHEAHAN ON UNCONDITIONAL WAIVERS
Nov 28, 2022The Buffalo Sabres have placed forward Riley Sheahan on unconditional waivers.
A former first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings, Sheahan has appeared in 637 career NHL games, including 55 with the Buffalo Sabres over two separate stints with the club.
Sheahan has also played in 120 American Hockey League contests with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Charlotte Checkers and, most recently, the Rochester Americans. Sheahan recorded three assists and a plus-three on-ice rating in six games with the Amerks this season.
He led the Griffins to their first Calder Cup in 2013.
