SABRES ASSIGN NADEAU TO ROCHESTER
Forward had 46 points in 34 games this season with Gatineau
May 8, 2023The Buffalo Sabres have assigned forward Olivier Nadeau from the Gatineau Olympiques (QMJHL) to the Rochester Americans, the team announced Monday.
Nadeau, 20, tallied 46 points (22+24) in 34 regular-season games with Gatineau after missing the start of the season due to shoulder surgery. He added 15 points (7+8) in 13 contests during the Olympiques' playoff run, which ended with a loss in the league semifinals last week.
The Amerks are scheduled to begin the best-of-five North Division Finals against the Toronto Marlies on Thursday. They overcame a 2-0 series deficit to defeat the Syracuse Crunch in the previous round, which ended with an overtime victory in Game 5 on Saturday.
Buffalo drafted Nadeau during the fourth round in 2021 and signed him to an entry-level contract last May.
