BJORK CLEARS WAIVERS, ASSIGNED TO ROCHESTER

Oct 18, 2022

Forward Anders Bjork has cleared waivers and has been loaned to the Rochester Americans, the Buffalo Sabres announced Tuesday.

"Our goal is to build that confidence back," head coach Seth Appert explained to the media on Wednesday morning. "That energy, that passion and fun that you get when you get to be that go-to player."

Bjork recorded eight points (5+3) in 58 games with the Sabres last season. He was acquired from Boston in a trade in April 2021. Bjork was originally selected in the fifth round by the Bruins in 2014.

He has 22 points (6+16) in 29 career AHL games.

"It's a great opportunity for me to work hard and improve and maybe play a little bit more," Bjork told the media. "To me, I'm excited because there's a lot of opportunity for me to grow as a hockey player."

Bjork will be in the Amerks lineup on Wednesday night as the Amerks host the Belleville Senators at 7:05PM at Blue Cross Arena.
