AMERKS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES

Rochester Americans General Manager Jason Karmanos announced today that the team has recalled forward Kohen Olischefski from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL). Additionally, the club has reassigned defenseman Zach Berzolla to Cincinnati while Riese Zmolek has been released from his professional tryout (PTO).

In other moves, the Buffalo Sabres recalled forwards Riley Sheahan and Anders Bjork from Rochester.

Olischefski earns first recall to Rochester after appearing in seven games with Cincinnati, where he tallied four points (1+3). Two of his four points came on Nov. 1 versus Fort Wayne, which marked his first-career professional goal and multi-point effort.

Made his professional/AHL debut during a three-game stint after signing an Amateur Tryout contract (ATO) with the club in 2021-22.

Completed a five-year collegiate career between the University of Denver and Providence College, recording 30 goals and 41 assists for 71 points in 172 career games.

Bjork earns his first recall to Buffalo after appearing in 11 games with Rochester, where he produced six points (3+3). Two of three his goals served as the game-winning goal, one of which was during his Amerks debut on Oct. 19 versus Belleville.

Has totaled 53 points on 24 goals and 29 assists in 211 NHL games between Buffalo and Boston. He also has tallied 28 points (9+19) in 40 career games in the AHL with Rochester and Providence.

In three seasons at University of Notre Dame, notched 109 (40+69) points in 115 career games from 2014-2017. As a junior in 2016-17, was a Hobey Baker Finalist as he registered a career-best 52 points (21+31) in 39 games.

In six games with the Amerks, Sheahan has recorded three assists and five shots since being loaned to Rochester by the Sabres on October 31.

Has amassed 194 points (74+120) in 635 NHL games between Buffalo, Detroit, Edmonton, Florida, Pittsburgh and Seattle. Also has tallied 61 points (26+35) in 120 games with Grand Rapids, Charlotte and Rochester at the AHL level, winning the Calder Cup with the Griffins in 2013.

Attended the University of Notre Dame from 2009-2012, where he registered  20 goals and 32 assists for 64 points in 114 career games.
