AMERKS BROADCASTER DON STEVENS TO MISS THIS WEEKEND’S GAMES

The Rochester Americans announced today that Amerks Hall of Fame broadcaster Don Stevens will miss this weekend’s games as he recovers from surgery to repair a broken bone in his leg.

Broadcaster Kevin Sylvester, who hosts Sabres Hockey Hotline on WGR 550 Sports Radio in Buffalo, will serve as the play-by-play announcer for tonight’s game (Friday, Feb. 21) versus the San Antonio Rampage alongside Amerks color analyst Ric Seiling. The game will be televised in both Rochester and Buffalo on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, and can also be heard on Sports 1280 WHTK.

Rob Sanderson, who currently hosts the pregame, intermission and postgame reports for all Amerks radio broadcasts on Sports 1280 WHTK, will serve as play-by-play announcer alongside Seiling during Rochester’s home game against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 22. The game can be heard live on Sports 1280 WHTK.
