In Sunday’s Rochester Americans vs. Buffalo Sabres Alumni Game at the Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers Frozen Frontier presented by Labatt, the former Amerks held on to beat the Sabres 5-3 outside in the snow at Frontier Field.

Former Amerks Chris Palmer and Paul Brydges each scored two goals, and former Amerk head coach Randy Cunneyworth added a goal. Scoring for the Sabres alumni was Danny Gare, Andrew Peters, and Rob Ray.

Tom Askey and Kenton Rein split time in between the pipes for the Amerks alumni, while the recently retired former Sabre and Amerk Martin Biron manned the net for the Buffalo squad.

Prior to the game, Sabres and Amerks alumni alike met in the left field concourse for a Meet & Greet with the fans. As the players made their way out to the ice for warm-ups, they were introduced by long-time Buffalo Sabres broadcaster Rick Jeanneret, while Amerks Hall of Fame broadcaster Don Stevens provided in-game interviews.
