AMERKS PLAY FLOOR HOCKEY AT SCHOOL OF THE HOLY CHILDHOOD

Several players from the Rochester Americans visited School of the Holy Childhood on Wednesday, Nov. 7 to meet the students and play a floor hockey game against students and staff at the school. 

Holy Childhood, a non-denominational, non-profit agency, has enriched the lives of people with developmental disabilities for more than 60 years. Its mission is to prepare children and adults with developmental disabilities for maximum independence and integration in the community through individualized programs and services, in keeping with the philosophy and vision of its founders. We are dedicated to serving our people in an atmosphere of dignity and compassion.

"Today has probably been one of the most exciting days that we've had in a really long time," said Holy Childhood Principal Melanie Byrne.  "We have been eagerly counting down to the Amerks coming for the last two weeks."

Luke Adam, Alex Biega, T.J. Brennan, Nick Crawford, Marcus Foligno, Matt MacKenzie and Brayden McNabb teamed together to take on the Holy Childhood floor hockey team.  Below is a video recapping the game:
