Camp invitee Jamie Wise made the most of his experience, scoring three goals tonight as team Blue defeated Team Gold 7-3 in a scrimmage before a crowd of 5,073 at First Niagara Center. The 21-year-old from Stouffville, Ont., had 48 points (31+17) in 59 games last season with the OHL’s Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors.
"I didn't really know what to expect coming in. I just tried to play my game," Wise said following the game. "I'm kind of like a physical guy, I'm good around the net and I get pucks out. So I was just trying to do that and I was lucky enough to get a few goals so it was a good game for me."
Joel Armia, Buffalo’s 2011 first-round pick, picked up a goal and an assist, while another camp invitee, Frederick Roy, collected a pair of assists. The teams took part in a five-man shootout following the game, with Gold coming out on top by a 2-1 count.
