COREY FIENHAGE REASSIGNED TO AMERKS FROM GWINNETT

The Rochester Americans announced today that defenseman Corey Fienhage has been reassigned to the Amerks from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. 
 
Fienhage, 21, has appeared in 17 games with the Amerks this season, recording four assists and 20 penalty minutes.  He also played in 32 games for Gwinnett, where he registered 13 points (5+8) and 28 penalty minutes.  Last season, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Fienhage registered 14 points (4+10) in 70 games with Kamloops of the Western Hockey League (WHL) before making his AHL debut with the Portland Pirates, appearing in four regular season games and six playoff contests.  Fienhage, who also played two seasons at the University of North Dakota, was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (81st overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
