Members of the Rochester Americans Alumni will take part in the “Mend-A-Broken Heart Pub Crawl” to benefit the Harbor House of Rochester on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Mend-a-Broken Heart support group is once again sponsoring its annual pub crawl and Amerks Hall of Famers Scott Metcalfe, Gates Orlando and Geordie Robertson will be among the celebrity bartenders.
The Pub Crawl will take place at five different establishments in the East End neighborhood and will also include local media personalities Norma and Andrea Holland and Beck from 98.9 The Buzz, as well as Olympic fencer Iris Zimmerman as celebrity bartenders. The fundraiser benefits heart transplant patients and critically ill patients and their families who travel from out of town to receive care at the University of Rochester Medical Center and require lodging, sometimes for extended periods of time. Past events have been successful in providing a home-away-from-home for patients and their families at Harbor House of Rochester.
The schedule for the Pub Crawl is as follows:
Salinger's, 1 to 3 p.m.
Temple Bar & Grille, 3 to 4 p.m.
Easy on East, 4 to 5 p.m.
Matthew's East End Grill, 5 to 6 p.m.
Murphy's Law, 6 to 7 p.m.
The entrance fee is $15 and event T-shirts will be sold for $10. Participants must be age 21 or over.
