| Enroth during the 2010-11 season
Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier today announced that goaltender Jhonas Enroth has agreed to a multi-year contract.
Enroth (5'10", 166 lbs., 6/25/1988) appeared in 14 games during five separate recalls for the Sabres last season, compiling a 2.73 goals against average and a 9-2-2 record. He recorded his first NHL win and first career shutout in 2010-11 after appearing in just one game during the 2009-10 season.
The 23-year-old native of Stockholm, Sweden made NHL history with a 3-2 shootout victory Feb. 15 at Montreal, becoming the first goaltender ever to record each of his first three career wins in a shootout.
Enroth played 41 regular season games for the Portland Pirates (AHL) during the 2010-11 season, posting a 20-17-2 record and a 2.78 goals against average. He went 1-2 with a 2.27 goals against average in the Calder Cup playoffs.
