Rochester native and Buffalo Sabres forward Brian Gionta will make an autograph appearance at Frontier Field on Monday, August 18 as the Rochester Red Wings Triple-A baseball team hosts the Syracuse Chiefs at 7:05 p.m.
 
Gionta will sign from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in the Red Wings Hall of Fame located along the first base side of the Frontier Field concourse.
 
Gionta, who signed a three-year deal with the Sabres this offseason, owns 249 career NHL goals over 12 seasons with the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens, where he served as the team’s captain the last four years.
 
Gionta won a Stanley Cup with the Devils in the 2002-03 season and competed for Team USA at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.
 
Before his illustrious NHL career, the Rochester native starred at Boston College where he led the Eagles to a National Championship in his senior season as the Nation’s leading goal scorer.
