(Rochester, May 27)... The Rochester Americans announced today that for the second straight summer, Amerks.com will again feature weekly summer player profiles. The profiles are scheduled to begin on Friday, June 5th, featuring defenseman Jason Garrison, and will continue to highlight a different Amerks player Friday of each week.

The weekly online segment will allow fans to stay better connected with some of their favorite players and see how they spend their summer months during the offseason. Fans can learn about the players favorite moments from this past season, see what they enjoy most about playing in Rochester and even where they can be found vacationing this summer. Rochester will open its 54th season in the AHL on Saturday, October 3rd at The Blue Cross Arena. Opponents and start times for next season will be announced when the complete 2009-10 American Hockey League schedule is released this summer. In operation since 1936, the AHL will again serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams when its 74th season gets underway on Friday, October 2nd.
