The Rochester Americans and Rochester Knighthawks celebrated the historic 20th Anniversary of the team’s Celebrity Waiter Dinner & Auction last night with a record-breaking $54,000 being raised. The proceeds from the event will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester and the Knighthawks/Amerks Charitable Foundation, Inc.

(Rochester, March 8)... Five weeks is all that remains on tap for the 2009-10 regular season, and so begins the quest for a berth in the postseason en route to the Calder Cup. The race for playoff contention has already begun to take shape, with the defending league champs, the Hershey Bears, becoming the first team this season to be guaranteed postseason play. The surging Rochester Americans are entering the tail-end of the campaign much as they did in the beginning after adding three more victories, all coming on the road, to their win column to reclaim sole possession of second place in the American Hockey League’s North Division.
